Mistake Causes Johnny Sauter a Win

NASCAR says that during a restart, the driver must stay in his/her line until crossing the line. Its a rule that probably costed David Ragan winning the Daytona 500, and now Johnny Sauter cost himself a win because of this rule.

On the last restart of the WinStar World Casino 400K at Texas Motor Speedway, Johnny Sauter (driver of the #13 Safe Auto truck) came down to Ron Hornday Jr.'s (Driver of the #33 Kroger truck) line before they crossed the line. The move turned out costly for Sauter, as he was black flagged for the move. Ron Hornaday Jr., ended up winning the race. If Sauter didn't get the black flag, he would've got the win for this race. Parker Kligerman, David Mayhew, Brian Ickler, and Joey Coulter round up the Top 5 (Sauter ended up getting 22nd).

There were 10 cautions for this race. With one incident happening on the frontstretch coming to the checkered. Travis Kvapil made contact with Justin Lofton, Kvapil spun out and came back up to the race track and made hard contact with Johanna Long right as she crossed the line.

The trucks will be at Kentucky Speedway next, which will be on July 7.
