Mike Harmon Plans to Run "Twitter Fan Truck"

NASCAR drivers on Twitter have done a lot for fans. Some give out race tickets, some give out hats/shirts, but this one is new and is for a good cause for a special girl.

NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series driver, Mike Harmon, will try to attempt the first ever Twitter Fan Truck for the Coca-Cola 250 in October. The reason? To help a 11-year old's dream become a reality.

The campaign, also known as "Racing for Marrissa", is for a young race fan with a rare condition. Marrissa Bishop is a 11-year old girl who has acromegaly, a rare condition which the body produces excess growth hormone, and she always dreamed to have her name on a race car. Mike Harmon and Mike Harmon Racing is here to help make that dream come true. Anyone that donates to Mike Harmon Racing will also have his/her name (or Twitter name) placed on the race car. The color of the truck hasn't been announced yet, but no matter what the color is, Melissa's name will be the biggest one on the truck.

The plan, as of now, for Mike is to run the entire race.
