Finally that Montreal Win

In 2007, he was spun by Robby Gordon on the final restart. In 2008, a late pit road speeding penalty costs him a win. In 2009, mistake on the final turn of the last lap gave the win away to Carl Edwards. And in 2010, electrical problems ended his day. Now in 2011, Marcos Ambrose finally got that win at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, which will probably be the last race at the famous road course.

The win for Ambrose wasn't going to be so easy.

Ambrose had to start in the rear of the field because of a driver change, Owen Kelly drove the car for practice and qualifying. He made his way back up the field. However, with 30 laps to go, Jacques Villeneuve messed up while leading in the restart and got into Ambrose in Turn 2. Making both to pit. Cautions played a key for Ambrose. Every green flag run he'll gain some positions, then a caution will come out (some drivers decided to pit), then the next green flag he'll gain more. With all the late race cautions, he made his way to first, passing Alex Tagliani (driver of the #12 Hot Wheels Dodge) in the closing laps. Marcos keep the lead once he passed Tagliani and he went on to win his 4th career NASCAR Nationwide race, all coming at road courses.

This race was also the last race for Patrick Carpentier. In the race, he got spun by Steven Wallace, and his car just didn't behave after that spin. In the closing laps, his car gave up and he stopped between turns 1 and 2 (out of harms way), being a fellow Canadian, the crowd roared in applause, congratulating their driver on a great career.

The Nationwide guys go to Bristol next week.
