Pit Strategy Helps Matt Kenseth Get His Second Win of 2011

The FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover was surprisingly a clean race than what most people expected. No serious accidents included in this one. Rain stayed away, although a caution was caused by a brief rain shower

The race started to look like it was going to be the Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards show, both of which led a combine total of 324 of the scheduled 400 laps. However, a caution on Lap 362 changed everything. As the leaders hit pt road, Matt Kenseth was one of the few handful of drivers that took two tires instead of four. Mark Martin was the only driver at that didn't make a pit stop. Matt Kenseth passed Mark Martin on Lap 367 and led the rest of the laps after that.

Rest of the Top 10:
2nd - Mark Martin
3rd - Marcos Ambrose
4th - Kyle Busch
5th - Brian Vickers
6th - Clint Bowyer
7th - Carl Edwards
8th - Martin Truex Jr.
9th - Jimmie Johnson
10th - Kevin Harvick

Last week's surprise winner, Regan Smith, had electrical issues that started about halfway. Then he had a broken trackbar a little past the 300 lap mark. He ended up finishing 34th, 39 laps down

Carl Edwards is still your points leader, 24 points ahead of Jimmie Johnson. The Cup Guys head on over to Charlotte next week for the Sprint Cup All-Star Race. One show NASCAR fans do not want to miss. Some notable drivers that have to race their way win via Sprint Showdown or the Fan Vote include: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Joey Logano, and Jeff Burton.
