Carl Edwards Wins All-Star Race

Segment 1 (50 Laps): Kyle Busch led early, got passed on Lap 5 by Greg Biffle. Biffle led the rest of Segment 1. The only incident, although it didn't bring out the caution, was Brad Keselowski getting into the wall because of no brakes. Other than that, it was a very clean 50 laps, like most people expected. Biffle ended up winning Segment 1.

Segment 2 (20 Laps): On the restart, Greg Biffle got loose in Turn 1, almost causing a multi-car wreck, by All-Star Race standards. Biffle saved the car and went on. Later, Biffle got into Kasey Kahne, sending him into the wall, ending Kahne's day.Carl Edwards led the first 12 laps of the segment, Jimmie Johnson passed Carl and led the next 6. Edwards passed Johnson with two to go in this segement. Carl Edwards ended up winning Segment 2. Unlike Segment 1, Segment 2 had more action this time.

Segment 3 (20 Laps): Carl Edwards spun his tires at the restart, gave the lead to Kyle Busch. A few laps later, Regan Smith spun on Lap 74. He made very slight contact with the inside wall. Carl Edwards caught up to Kyle Busch on the next restart, and passed him with 5 to go in this segment. Carl Edwards led the rest of the segment and ended up winning Segment 3.

Segment 4 (10 Laps): Surprisingly, it was a clean last segment. Carl Edwards had the led at the restart, and stayed in the lead for the last 10 laps. In a strange moment, Carl Edwards ended up destroying part of his car during his burnout, as the car dug into the grass because of a manhole cover (that will make the raced version diecast hard to make now). Carl Edwards total winnings in this event was $1,203,000.
